Student debate boosts participation at Liceo Bicentenario Colegio San Miguel Arcángel
A meaningful debate took place in the library of the Liceo Bicentenario Colegio San Miguel Arcángel between the two slates running for the Student Council—the Nexum Slate and the Papoi Slate—bringing together students and teachers in an atmosphere of respect and engagement.
During the event, both slates presented their proposals and discussed issues relevant to the school community, such as social harmony, student well-being, and the organization of activities. This forum facilitated the exchange of ideas and encouraged informed participation, highlighting the commitment and sense of responsibility of the students involved.
This activity reinforces the importance of civic education at the school, fostering dialogue, respect, and active participation in school life.
We sincerely thank the members of both slates for their willingness to represent the student body, bearing in mind that, as Paulo Freire noted, “Education does not change the world; it changes the people who will change the world.”
